RAS stands for Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS), meaning that our water is constantly monitored, filtered, and recycled throughout the facility. What sets our system apart is that through extensive research and development we have eliminated the requirement to discharge our fishery waste back into the ocean. Waste solids are taken away to generate electricity. Wastewater is cleaned and returned back to the facility. Nothing is discharged back to the environment.

DPM’s role was to recirculate the aquatic land based salmon farm, doubling the size of the farm to a 1000 Metric Tons per year facility. Also added a new Harvest building with a stand alone water treatment system.
